The Westcoast paintings are acrylic studies of pencil sketches by Emily Carr.
These paintings and my research of Emily Carr's writings and life have given me
great insight into the impression the West Coast of British Columbia made on her.
The jazz paintings are the result of collaboration with Glenn Williams.
They are acrylic paintings based on the transcriptions and interpretations
of solo piano pieces of the late "Thelonious Monk" by Glenn.
